Upcoming rap artist Kwazi has released his debut album entitled ‘Baggies and Brandy’ on all streaming platforms. Including the leading track ‘Luigi’, the album consists of a mixture of modern production sounds and samples with Kwazi voice at the forefront of each song.
Combining catchy hooks that would appeal to any RnB fan, Kwazi combines clever lyrical verses that sound very similar to early Stormzi or Kojey Radicals. The album is being released alongside a promotional freestyle video entitled ‘Orange’. The video is set with an orange background, putting Kwazi at the forefront in a Colors style video.
The message behind this EP is to change the way rap is seen within this modern society. Kwazi wants to challenge the violent narrative that he believes is portrayed in modern rap. Lyrically through his music, Kwazi is encouraging self-confidence.
