A new anthem has arrived for Scotland fans as Rodeo Terrorists release “Saltire (Tartan Army).” Out from 27th March 2026, the single is aimed at capturing the humour, pride and emotional energy that surround the Tartan Army during major football moments.
The song’s creator, Richard, brings an unusual but heartfelt perspective to the project. He is a 55-year-old English IT manager, but his years studying in Scotland gave him a strong connection to the country, which he has come to regard as a second home.
Written in just half an hour during a work break, “Saltire (Tartan Army)” grew from a quick idea into a fully formed football anthem. Its sound combines Celtic-inspired hooks, electronic elements and driving pop-rock energy, creating a track built for singing along in pubs, stadiums and fan gatherings.
The release also has a serious and personal side. Richard hopes the single can support MND Scotland by raising funds and awareness in memory of a close friend who passed away from Motor Neurone Disease, giving the song a deeper meaning behind its upbeat football celebration.
