End Of The Walls, is the fantastic new EP by Easton Guillory. When listening to this new offering it’s clear to see that Easton has poured his heart and soul into the creation of this record.
What makes this EP interesting is the blend of genres. There is a clear prog rock and indie style that Easton possesses, however, Easton’s vocals hold a classical and musical theatre vibe within them.
The lead single comes in the form of the heart-wrenching track ‘Always With You’ . This is an emotional and personal song for Easton as it tells the story of a deceased father talking to his son. Easton’s own father (musician Issac Guillory) tragically passed away when Easton was a baby.
‘Always With You’ is a credit to Easton’s songwriting ability as he draws on his own personal experiences and tells a harrowing tale of grief, loss and love.
Titular single ‘End Of The Walls’ is an extremely captivating offering from Easton as he uses his strengths at both classical and contemporary to make a masterpiece. The backing arrangement has hints of classical while Easton narrates over this, speaking about working class culture in a slightly manic and erratic way. Which I can only compare to the likes of Jamie T and The Streets.
Overall, a wonderful offering from a rising musician who for sure will be going far. So be sure to check out End Of The Walls and show Easton Guillory some love!
