After more than four decades away from music, Tim Camrose has returned to songwriting with renewed purpose. His new single “Break The Chains” shows an artist drawing on a lifetime of experience, combining emotional honesty with classic songwriting influences.

Tim first discovered his passion for music while growing up in London, but he stepped away from it after leaving home to study medicine. He went on to build a distinguished career as a surgeon and university professor, though songwriting remained quietly present in his life.

Over the years, melodies and lyrics would come to him during long journeys, gradually shaping the songwriter he would later become. Now based in the Northwest of England, Tim has fully returned to writing, recording and performing his own material.

“Break The Chains” captures that sense of a life lived deeply. Influenced by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and Elton John, Tim’s music is grounded in storytelling, emotion and the belief that it is never too late to follow a lifelong passion.
