If you are a fan of the likes of College, Chvrches or Air, then discovering Kumiko25 may just make your week. An extraordinary artist that has pushed through hardship to create an authentically unique sound, Kumiko25 released their album entitled SkyCityDeluxe with the accompanying lead single Flight.
When first hearing the leading single flight, you can’t help but fall in love with the choice of synth that sweeps the song along and the sweetness of tone it gives the track. Through the song, the intricate and layered instrumental shows true craftsmanship. Paired with a soothing female vocal, Flight successfully creates a sense of nostalgia while sounding completely futuristic.
Following a similar sound, the album SkyCityDeluxe was released on the 30th September 2022. As a 10-track project, the album has been described as neon-dripping and truly a modern synthwave record with a feel-good upbeat spirit.
