Following his entrancing single release “Getting Better”, Dublin-based folk artist Galvo has released his debut album The HeARTist, offering a full-length experience that’s simply captivating.
The 14-track project premiered its lead single with the official music video and since then, it has been making waves throughout the indie-folk scene, drawing comparisons to the likes of Elliot Smith, Billy Corgan, Radical Face and Sufjan Stevens. At its core, Getting Better is an inspiring and uplifting anthem, filled with a gentle yet stirring vocal performance which accompanies a backdrop of organic instrumentation.

The accompanying music video is bright, colorful, and filled with humor; but its meaning is much deeper, offering advice that we should learn to appreciate and take comfort in ourselves. The HeARTist was born from a truly remarkable story, with a working-class upbringing and entrepreneurial endeavors which includes running a Pakistani Hip Hop label in London, and a stint in HBO’s Game of Thrones all coming together to give life to the record.
Galvo also enlisted help from Irish band A Dark Horse (Hugh Rodgers and Niall Woods), fusing his inspirations together with musical collaborations at the core.
