StART revisited London’s Saatchi Gallery for its 10th Anniversary Edition, featuring an impressive array of galleries, individual artists, and international projects. Among the featured artists was AK, who proudly presented his latest collection of artwork at this contemporary fair.

AnilKumar, also known as AK, has nurtured a deep love for art since childhood, and this passion has remained central to his journey as an artist over the years. Although he initially pursued engineering, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Management Studies from Bradford University, his love for art eventually led him back to the art world in 2015, where he has been exhibiting his work globally.
As an artist, AK aims to elicit smiles or thoughtful contemplation from viewers, aiming to weave coherence into life, making the surrounding confusion and chaos more manageable. He describes his artistic process as capturing a phenomenon, using vibrant colors to breathe life into his creations, making them feel as though they are speaking to the viewer.
AK’s large, striking acrylic paintings are infused with vivid colors and a hint of humor, highlighting his keen focus on contemporary themes. His works blend elements of classic pop art with influences ranging from the oriental aesthetic in his Koi series to the artistic styles of renowned figures like Damien Hirst, Warhol, Kusama, and Banksy, as well as newer inspirations such as Anika and Lorraine Loots and her captivating miniature artworks.
